I decided to buy this Toastmaster since the Hamilton Beach toaster I had bit the dust after only a couple of months. The price for the Toastmaster was very reasonable and I thought, "Hmmm, it must be a cheap product." Because it seems like now you have to buy a 60 dollar toaster to get it to work OK. Well, I was shocked to find out it works great! It has a cancel button, reheat, bagels fit fine too. Large slots fit most breads. It doesn't toast the very top of tall breads and you have to turn back the heat, when it pops up, turn it over and toast again.
It cooks quick, nice and fine for me. I am not picky, just want a decent slice of brown toast. You do have to turn down the settings for additional slices going into the toaster, because it gets hotter each time, and will burn the next slices you put in, if you don't turn back the settings some. I like the large handle, that you push the bread down with, since it is large and easy to use. I looked at another brand much more expensive and saw the cheap tiny "button", it didn't even look like a handle, to push down and I can only say it looked like burn city, since the handle was so close to the hot top. This Toastmaster has a cool touch and your fingers are safe. You don't touch the silver top though, common sense, but there is no need to touch the hot top, by the way it is designed, anyway. I didn't like the white color since all my stuff is silver or black and the whites are more of the 1990s. I couldn't find a black one where I live, so got the white one. The phony chrome on front is a bit cheesy, since it scratches easy, but for around 20 bucks, you can't beat it. It does more than many more costly ones and I like that the fingers don't get burned on this one. A good decent toaster, but just don't expect a fancy 100 dollar toaster for 20 bucks.
