Customer Review: don't bother

This waffle iron works, but not well. The steam generated during cooking gets trapped in the casing, condensing inside the machine and causing a steaming of the waffles, rather than a proper baking. And I wonder if that will shorten its lifespan. Also, the heating elements are not powerful enough to provide the proper "lift" to the batter during cooking. It may be [inexpensive], but you'll be happier with a better unit.
