As a gift for my first place on my own, my mom got me this toastmaster softwave almost 9 years ago. I use it regularly and really like it. the waffles are different than your regular waffle, as they are round and more of a wavy pancake, as opposed to a square one with grids. And they clearly aren't a belgian waffle, like i said, more of a wavy pancake. I like it because it is simple to use and faily idiot proof as far as cooking...green light on, put on waffle batter, shut lid, turns to red light and cooking. when done, green light comes on and remove perfect softwave waffle...or as I call them Wancakes (wavy pancakes). Enjoy, a neat product, something different to serve guest in the morning.
