I bought this popcorn popper because I remembered how much I loved the air popper we had when I was a kid. This popper however, is nothing like that one. This thing is horrible. Literally a quarter of the kernals I put in there made its way into the bowl without popping because unlike good air poppers, this does not have a spinning cetrifuge mechanism. Spinning air poppers keep the kernals that haven't popped in the machine because they stick to the sides from the force of spinning, while the ones that have popped catch the hot air rushing through the machine and make their way into the bowl. This thing resulted in literally seeds flying out of the machine, and going everywhere. It is well worth the savings in kernals alone to get a decent air popper with a spinning feature. STAY AWAY.
